Emily is a Principal Consultant with GMD Consultants. She is an experienced planner with a background working in both local government and private consultancy in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Over the past 10 years Emily’s work has focussed on development, consultation, and implementation of policies and plans for councils in the Waikato Region. This has encompassed a wide range of topic areas and legislative backgrounds and included District Plans, Regional Policy Statements, Regional Land Transport Plans, and Reserve Management Plans.

Prior to this Emily worked for the former Auckland City Council in the strategy team developing spatial frameworks for the Auckland Isthmus Area; for a consultancy in Auckland preparing resource consent applications and Notices of Requirement for infrastructure projects; and in London engaging with communities on transport implementation projects such as school travel plans, car clubs and controlled parking zones.

Emily is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute.
