Karren comes to GMD with a broad background in policy work. After graduating from the University of Waikato, Karren took up a role with Federated Farmers as a policy advisor for the Waikato Region.

This was a fast-paced and diverse role that gave Karren a broad understanding of different planning documents and the policy-making process. It provided Karren with insight into the challenges facing the farming community and how policy can impact these businesses.

Karren then moved to the Waikato Regional Council where she utilised her learnings to work on the Sustainable Agriculture project as well as contributing to the development of freshwater policies. After taking an extended parental leave, Karren joins GMD to use her skills and knowledge to help achieve the best outcomes for GMD clients.
