Natalie is a strategic policy consultant. She supports GMD’s clients to understand and improve policy positions, meet legislative requirements, and connect with stakeholders and the community. With a Master of Public Policy from the University of Auckland, a Master of Arts in Development Studies, and a wealth of international experience, her strength lies in understanding the bigger picture, using systems level thinking to tackle complex policy challenges.

She combines strong research and writing skills from her academic career with creative flair from a background in performing arts. She is adept at understanding multiple perspectives, communicating with diverse audiences, and identifying creative yet pragmatic actions and options. Experience with Oxfam Aotearoa and the Public Policy Institute at the University of Auckland enables her to understand economic impacts as well as issues of social justice and distributional equity. Natalie has a particular interest in environmental issues and climate change. At GMD Natalie supports diverse policy projects including bylaw review and development for councils.
