Tish graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Environmental Planning in December 2022. During her studies, she focussed on Environmental Law, Maori Land Law and Resource Management. Policy Planning has been a big focus in the Environmental Planning field.

While at University, Tish was Competitions officer for the Waikato University Law Students Association in 2020, this role entailed running negotiation, mooting, client interviewing and witness examination competitions throughout the year. Through the association, she gained experience in organising events and engaging in professional relationships. She worked collaboratively with other committee members to organise and run social events, a mentoring evening, and other learning opportunities for students.

As part of her role at GMD, Tish has been processing Land Use Development Applications on behalf of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. She has assisted with Project Management and Policy Input on Future Proof (Sub-regional growth strategy centered around the greater Hamilton area) projects and has had some exposure to submission summarising for Thames-Coromandel District Council. She is also currently processing resource consents on behalf of Waikato District Council.

In her spare time, Tish enjoys hiking, nature walks and travelling.
